Our name 66 DAYS has raised questions. That’s good because that was our intention when we founded it. It is meant to stimulate thought and discussion.
But how did we come up with 66 DAYS, and what does this name mean to us?
First, we invite you to an exercise: Cross your arms in front of your body for a moment. Now change position so that the other arm is on top.
It feels strange, doesn’t it? You can’t change it overnight. That’s what you call the power of habit.
Scientifically justified, pragmatically implemented.
In 2009, the British psychologist Philippa Lally published a scientific study in the European Journal of Psychology (link: https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/abs/10.1002/ejsp.674), according to which it takes an average of 66 days for a new behavior to become automatic. Three trips to the gym, a week of healthier eating, two weeks of reading more newspapers – then back to the habit, goodbye change. A finding for which we don’t need science.
Whether 21 or 66 days, we want to avoid starting a scientific battle. Instead, the message is essential: behavioral changes need time and repetition until they become a habit. And that is what we work for with our clients. Now the meaning becomes evident at the latest: “66 DAYS – until change becomes habit”. And now let’s be honest: How many workshops have you attended that have not affected everyday life? One timers with no lasting effect. For us, a waste of resources.
More than just a name
For us, the name 66 DAYS also has an almost magical meaning. The idea came to us in the Switzerland Innovation Park – on the former site of the Dübendorf airfield – in hangar number 66. No wonder we took less than 66 seconds to realize: “We are 66 DAYS!
And so, we are committed to sustainability. 66 DAYS is not only our name but our program. We aspire to make changes that are implemented in everyday life.
We accompany your teams and you as a leader to develop in a future-oriented way. Until the change becomes a habit.
Contact us with your change topic without obligation.
We look forward to meeting you – with enthusiasm,
